Sirat is built to be private. The short version: Sirat does not collect, transmit, or share your personal data. Everything happens on your device.
What Sirat does on your device
- Prayer times, qibla direction, and the Hijri calendar are all calculated on your device. No network request is made to compute them.
- Location (if you allow it) is used only on your device to work out your prayer times and the direction of the qibla. Your location is never sent to us or anyone else. You can also skip location entirely and pick your city from a built-in list, which keeps everything fully offline.
- Your settings, prayer log, and Qur'an bookmarks are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded, synced, or backed up to us.
- Notifications (adhan/prayer reminders) are scheduled locally on your device.
What Sirat does NOT do
- No account. You never sign up or log in.
- No analytics or tracking. Sirat contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party trackers.
- No advertising.
- No data collection. We, the developer, receive no personal information from your use of the app.
Purchases
Sirat offers a one-time "Sirat Complete" unlock through Apple's App Store. Payments are handled entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details. Apple processes the transaction and lets the app know only whether the unlock is active. Apple's handling of purchases is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Children
Sirat is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
